Construction Progress
The hospice facility at 38 Agnes Street, Rockhampton is taking shape! All blockwork, structural steel and roofing is complete, and services rough-in and room fit-out is well underway. The build is on track for completion at the end of November, with the hospice anticipated to open in the first half of 2024.
Fundraising Update
Our fundraising efforts are really ramping up this month with the launch of the Equip Our Hospice Appeal. Read all about it below and consider donating what you can. We’re aiming to raise $150,000 by the end of October!
With the hospice build nearing completion, funds are now needed to cover the cost of essential items such as white goods, couches and chairs, fold-out sofas, televisions, and computer equipment.
We truly need everyone’s help so we can reach our appeal target of $150,000 by the end of October. Please dig deep and donate what you can, and be sure to spread the word so we can get our CQ community’s first hospice up and running.

Frenchville Sports Club lends a Helping Hand
This September, Frenchville Sports Club are taking their Founding Partner status to new heights with a new initiative – Helping Hand for Hospice.
1% of revenue from all food and beverages sold at the Club during September will be donated to Fitzroy Community Hospice, plus in celebration of the Footy Finals weekend, the Club is holding a Hotdog for Hospice weekend-long event. Profits from every hotdog sold on the 30th September and 1st October will also be donated to the hospice, and on top of that, the team from XXXX are jumping on board and will contribute $1 from every XXXX Gold or Bitter sold.
We are so excited by this incredible campaign and encourage everyone to make time for a meal and a drink or two at the Frenchville this month.
2nd Annual Charity Golf Day a Swinging Success!
We are thrilled to announce that our 2nd Annual Fitzroy Community Hospice Golf Day raised $20,500 – an incredible boost to the hospice project!
