Fitzroy Community Hospice has appointed three new directors to its Board of Directors.

Board Chair Ms Korin Jensen said the new directors bring invaluable skill sets and a wealth of experience to the organisation, which opened Central Queensland’s first Hospice in June last year.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr Annette Turley, Trish Clifford and Graham Gross to the Board, joining me and my fellow directors Dr Vicki Richmond, Debbie Richards, Mark Thompson and Allison Leech,” Ms Jensen said.

“Their collective expertise and evident passion will ensure we continue to make significant strides in advancing the delivery of high-quality palliative care and bereavement support in Central Queensland.”

Former directors Ian Mill and Founding Member Steve Richards stepped down from the Board in late 2024.

“With his vast experience, measured advice and good humour, Ian had a significant impact on our organisation, and we are extremely grateful for everything he contributed.

“Since the very beginning, Steve has worked tirelessly pouring untold volunteer hours into this incredible community project. Steve was instrumental in making the dream of opening Central Queensland’s first hospice a reality.

“On behalf of my fellow board members, I sincerely thank Ian and Steve for their contributions to the establishment of Fitzroy Community Hospice, and for the support they continue to provide.”
