Drakes Supermarkets Community Dollar Scheme
Fitzroy Community Hospice has joined the Drakes Supermarket Community Dollars Program. Pick up a Fitzroy Community Hospice tag from Drakes Glenmore or Emu Park or download the myDrakes app on your phone and select Fitzroy Community Hospice as the recipient for your community dollar. Then simply scan your tag or app each time you shop at Drakes and Fitzroy Community Hospice will receive 1c for every $1 you spend.
Advanced Care Planning information session
Fitzroy Community Hospice will be hosting its first Community Education session, an information session about Advanced Care Planning, on Wednesday 25 May at 10am. This will be a free event open to everyone, to be held at the Rockhampton Leagues Club. Come along and learn everything you need to know about important Advanced Care Planning processes and documents, including the Advanced Health Directive, Statement of Choices, and Enduring Power of Attorney.
Charity Book Sale
With so many quality books left over, most of which never made it on display at our last Book Sale, we are hosting another Charity Book Sale to be held on Sunday 29 May, 9am – 12noon in the Chapel at 38 Agnes Street. All books will be $2 each. Another multi-draw raffle will be held, with prizes including a $50 voucher from Boodles Meats, a handmade quilt, bottles of wine, 15 piece China tea set and assorted gift sets. With more books than we know what to do with, no further book donations are required. We hope to see you there!
