Mercy Day
On September 21, Fitzroy Community Hospice were invited to attend the Rockhampton Mater Private Hospital’s Mercy Day celebrations, where Sister Maria and the Mater Hospital presented Fitzroy Community Hospice with a donation of $5,000. Monies were raised by multiple raffles and the collection of cans and bottles. A big thank you to Sister Maria and the Mater Hospital for this very generous donation which will enable us to continue our work towards establishing a hospice in Central Queensland.
Inaugural AGM
On September 9, Fitzroy Community Hospice held its inaugural AGM. While this year’s AGM was a small and simple event, we are anticipating that this will be the first of many AGMs that will get bigger and more significant over the coming years.
